  1. Single Direction Thrust Ball Bearings

 

Unidirectional thrust ball bearing includes a shaft washer, a housing washer and a set of steel ball-cage. The bearing can be separated, and the shaft washer, housing washer, steel ball-cage can be installed separately. Unidirectional thrust ball bearing is mainly used to withstand one-way axial loads and can be used for one-way axial positioning.

The Single Direction Thrust Ball Bearings currently produced by ZWZ can be roughly divided into the following structural types:

Thrust ball bearing with self-aligning housing washer

Thrust ball bearing with self-aligning housing washer and self-aligning seat washer (self-aligning seat washer, if required, it needs to be customized separately)

Tolerance

ZWZ standard thrust ball bearing have ordinary, 6, 5, and 4 accuracy grades, which meet the requirements in GB/T 307.4/ISO199.

 

Cage

Thrust ball bearing cage generally adopts two structures, stamping frame and solid frame, other cages can also be used if there are special requirements.

 

When the outer diameter of the bearing D≤250mm, the steel plate (belt) stamping cage is used, and the post code of the cage is not marked.

 

When the outer diameter of the bearing D>250mm, a solid brass cage is used. The post code  of the cage is not marked, and the other marks have corresponding post codes.

 

Minimum axial load

When the thrust ball bearing is in operation, if the external load is too small and the axial direction is not compressed, the steel ball will slip due to the centrifugal force and damage the normal operation of the bearing. To prevent this from happening, thrust ball bearing must apply a minimum axial load Famin during operation.

Allowable angle error

The two supporting surfaces of the thrust ball bearing must be parallel, and no deviation is allowed. Thrust ball bearings with self-aligning housing washer and self-aligning seat washer are self-aligning, which can reduce the influence of angle errors during installation.

Operating temperature

For thrust ball bearing, the operating temperature must not exceed 120°C, and the operating temperature is also affected by the lubricant. If the actual operating temperature exceeds 120°C, the bearing needs special treatment.

  1. Double Direction Thrust Ball Bearings

 

The bidirectional thrust ball bearing includes two housing washers, a bottom bracket ring and a set of steel ball-cage. The bearing can be separated, and the shaft washer, housing washer, steel ball-cage assembly can be installed separately.The bidirectional thrust ball bearing can bear two-way axial load and be used for two-way axial positioning.

Thrust ball bearing with cover, as the name suggests, is to add a metal outer cover outside the general unidirectional thrust ball bearing to cover the outer diameter surface of the bearing’s housing washer, which plays a role of isolation and protection.
