Angular Contact Ball Bearings
The raceways of the inner and outer rings of Angular Contact Ball Bearing can have relative displacement in the direction of the horizontal axis, that can withstand combined loads — that is, radial and axial loads acting simultaneously. The axial-load carrying capacity of Angular Contact Ball B earing increases as the contact angle increases. The contact angle is defined as the angle between the line between the contact point of the steel ball and the raceway and the vertical line of .the bearing axis on the radial plane. The load is transferred from one raceway to another along the line connecting the contact points of the steel ball and the raceway
The four-point contact ball bearing is a single-row Angular Contact Ball Bearing, which is a separable bearing. The steel ball contacts the ring at four points, and the contact angle is 35°. It can bear radial load and axial load in two directions or combined radial and axial load.

Cage
The cage generally adopts stamped cage, solid brass cage and nylon cage. The materials are steel, brass and synthetic resin, etc.
For single-row and matched Angular Contact Ball Bearing and their modified structures: when the bearing outer diameter D≤250mm, the contact angle α=15°, 25°adopts phenolic laminated cloth tube solid cage; α=40°adopts stamped steel cage; The suffix of the cage is not marked. When the the bearing outer diameter D>250mm, use solid brass or duralumin cage; Class P5, P4, P2 use phenolic laminated cloth tube solid cage;
Angular Contact Ball Bearing with locks on the inner ring and their variants use phenolic laminated cloth tube solid cages; the suffix of the cage is not marked.
The operating temperature of bearings with nylon cage can reach up to +120℃. For bearings that need to operate continuously under high temperature or harsh conditions, a solid brass cage can be considered.
The four-point contact ball bearing adopts a solid brass cage, and the suffix of the cage is not marked.
If you need a bearing with a non-standard cage, please contact ZWZ in advance.
Alignment error
Single-row Angular Contact Ball Bearing have limited ability to allow angular errors. Without excessive stress on the bearing, the allowable angular error between the inner and outer rings depends on the radial clearance of the bearing in operation, the size of the bearing, the internal design, and the forces and moments acting on the bearing. Due to the complex relationship between these factors, a specific common value cannot be given.
When there is an angular error between the inner and outer rings, the matched bearings, especially the back-to-back bearing group with small axial clearance, will cause the steel ball to bear greater load, thus increasing the stress on the cage and shortening the working life of the bearing . Any angular error will cause an increase in noise.
When there is an angular error between the inner and outer rings of a double-row ACBB, it will cause the steel ball and raceway to bear a greater load. Any angular error will increase the noise and shorten the bearing life.
clearance and pre-tightening
Single-row Angular Contact Ball Bearing can reach a certain internal clearance only after installation, which depends on the adjustment of the second bearing. The axial clearance of the four-point contact ball bearing provided by ZWZ is the axial clearance of the basic class. Other clearance classes and non-standard clearances need to be verified with ZWZ’s product engineers before ordering products.
The mached bearings are divided into two ways of preload (pre-tightening load) and pre-clearance (preset clearance).
Preload:
GA – light preload
GB – medium preload
Pre-clearance:
CA – small axial clearance
CB – medium axial clearance
CC – large axial clearance
Preload
The light, medium and heavy preload values (unit: N) of matched bearings back-to-back (DB type) or face-to-face (DF type) are shown in the following table:
The contact angle is 15°.
